Account Executive

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Account Executive who can inspire us with their strategic thinking right through to media implementation and execution. Reporting to the Account Manager, you will need to have a good grasp of media planning through the funnel to craft an accountable media plan with tangible results.

The Role

  • Build an understanding of your client’s marketing operation, from market context to their internal workings to establish TKF as a true partner.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking which can translate into media implementation.
  • To provide support to the business management team across all media disciplines
  • Provide coaching to the Media Assistant when required
  • Attend client meetings where appropriate
  • Negotiate with media owners ensuring you deliver the very best value to your clients
  • Be involved in preparing media results reviews, analyse performance and make recommendations
  • Endeavour to become the first point of contact for clients with general day to day inquiries

Client Facing:

  • Help lead strategic thinking for your clients business
  • Help the team to interrogate client briefs to ensure a high-quality response
  • Have a good understanding of your clients overall business dynamics
  • Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of clients
  • Ensure internal and external deadliness are met
  • Establish day to day contact with clients on the phone

Media Owner & Supplier Facing:

  • Maintain and strengthen media owner relationships across press, outdoor, door-drops, inserts etc.
  • Have the necessary confidence and skills to negotiate effectively
  • Attend media supplier functions when invited

Company Facing:

  • Proactively support your team in ensuring regular day to day work is delivered
  • Build positive relationships with team members
  • Demonstrate a curiosity and willingness to share ideas with the wider team
  • Have a point of view and be confident enough to share this with your manager

Key Deliverables

  • Respond to clients in a timely manner with regards to all enquiries
  • Timesheets updated weekly
  • Read trade press and email bulletins and share any relevant information
  • Run monthly competitor analysis
  • Understand internal structure of client marketing operations
  • Interpret media strategies into media plans
  • Demonstrate effective negotiation
  • Update IPA CPD log
  • Demonstrate the use of fact based analysis in client work
  • Ensure all bookings are on DDS within 24 hours
  • Manage process from briefing to plan delivery
  • Attend all training sessions and Tuesday Morning Meetings (TMM)
  • Contribute to at least one pitch
  • Ensure all work delivered is accurate and of the standard expected by The Kite Factory

Systems and Tools:

We would expect a good level of Excel and Powerpoint expertise and it would be an advantage if you have any of the following;

  • DDS
  • Mediatel
  • TGI / Touchpoints (IMS)
  • Addynamix
  • Brand Ocean
  • YouGov
