At a virtual ceremony on Monday 12th October, The Kite Factory and WaterAid were proudly awarded a Bronze IPA Effectiveness award for our joint paper, ‘A partnership that has saved five million children’s lives and built a new model for fundraising’, which can be found here via WARC.
The paper details our 16-year partnership WaterAid and how we’ve tackled the major challenges faced by development charities head on. Our pioneering and evolving communications model has rewritten the relationship between charity supporters and those in need — from one of distant awareness, to emotional closeness. Today, WaterAid is growing faster than ever, generating more and more net income for the mission.
Of the 64 papers spanning eight countries on the 2020 longlist, 25 winners were unveiled; 14 Bronze winners, 6 Silvers and 5 Golds. The Kite Factory were one of only three UK independents to win this tremendous accolade, alongside creative agency Creature who won a bronze with their client, Cotswold, and The7stars in collaboration with MullenLowe for a bronze win for Wagamamas.
