So Hamish how long have you been at TKF and what is your role?
I’ve been here for pretty much bang on four years and I am one of the Senior Account Managers in the Client team.
Tell us about your typical workday as a Senior Account Manager
I would love to say I start my day at 5am with a matcha tea and meditation session…but that just isn’t true.
Senior Account Managers sit right in the middle of the client teams and work closely with their respective Account Directors and Execs to manage the day-to-day operations of their various accounts. My typical day starts with a quick catch up with my AD before I sit down with my execs for a progress update. As a client facing role I unsurprisingly spend a lot of time working directly with my clients and as I cover a broad spectrum of commercial and charity accounts – the challenges are often very varied, which is what I love about the role.
What have you been looking forward to the most about being able to go into the office?
Just seeing all the teams again to be honest; this is a people industry – being denied that face time has been tough.
What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?
There are so many things I’m proud of at TKF but I have to say one of the best experiences is being able to help graduates really grow into their roles and properly stand on their own two feet. I always swear they pick it up much faster than I did!
What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?
It is always great to head to the pub with the team and set the world to rights…I would say approximately 50% of the time it ends well!
One item you cannot leave your house without and why?
My bike – I bike to work so having it with me really helps facilitate that process!
