From the Team

A day with.. Jonny Olive, Senior Client Account Executive

So Jonny how long have you been at TKF and what is your role?

My name is Jonny Olive and I have been at The Kite Factory for just over a year and I am a Senior Account Executive in the client team.

Tell us about your typical workday as Senior Client Account Executive

So one of things that I love about my job is getting the opportunity to work with lots of different people. In the client team, we work close.ly between the clients and other teams across the agency meaning that in a typical workday, I could be working with lots of different people across the agency and lots of different clients! My day will most likely involve a weekly catch up with a client to go through the latest campaign results and to chat through upcoming plans or campaigns. At the moment, for a lot of clients the main focus is on 2022, so a typical day this time of year tends to involve some sort of planning element for next year which could involve looking at consumer trends, forecasting or booking media.

What have you been looking forward to the most about being able to go into the office?

Working from home has many benefits but as someone that lives outside of London WFH meant spending less time in the city than I would have liked. So being able to go into the office once again provides a great opportunity to spend time more time in London, go to lots of great places and spend time with the amazing people at TKF!

What’s a work-related accomplishment that you’re really proud of?

It’s been an incredible first year with The Kite Factory with lots of great moments, but I think one of the things I am most proud of is winning new business. I have been lucky enough to be a part of several successful pitches this year and anyone in the industry will tell you that they are not easy! Pitches are a great opportunity to put your own thoughts and ideas out there to the client and if it goes well and the client buys into what you’re trying to do – it’s a great feeling.

What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day?

I love to cook and even after a busy day I find it’s a great way to take your mind off of things that doesn’t involve looking at a screen. Particularly during lockdown, when working from home and not being able to go out in the evening, I found cooking was a great way to break up the day and move away from my desk.

One item you cannot leave your house with and why?

Definitely my earphones. Even if I was running late and had already left the house, if I had forgotten my headphones, I would go back. I love listening to music and podcasts when I am travelling around – even if I am just popping to the shops a 2-minute walk away I would make sure I had my earphones to listen to the latest episode of my favourite podcast.
