The Kite Factory has appointed Emily Underhill as head of marketing and new business to “supercharge growth plans”.
In the role, which is new for the media agency, she will report to chief executive Robin Trust. In addition to overseeing the new business and marketing team, Underhill will join the senior leadership team and assist with day-to-day operations at The Kite Factory.
Underhill was group marketing director at Havas between 2016 and 2017, and has since worked on a consultancy basis for various clients, including The Kite Factory.
Trust said: “Emily’s journey with The Kite Factory has been nothing short of exceptional. As a consultant she has expertly guided us in creating and developing our brand, always immersing herself in our culture and working closely with our senior team.
“She has always felt part of the agency and her contributions have been, and will continue to be, instrumental in propelling us forward and shaping our next phase of growth. With great excitement, we welcome her as a true ‘TKF-er’ and look forward to the incredible possibilities ahead with her leadership and vision.”
Underhill has experience across both media and creative, having worked with the likes of The Park, an independent experiential agency and Gleam Futures, a talent-led influencer marketing business.
“What makes The Kite Factory so special is its people, culture and ability to adapt and evolve while doing the right thing by its clients,” Underhill said.
“I’m thrilled to be joining the agency in an official capacity and working with an exceptional team in leading and shaping the future of the agency. I’m immensely proud of our journey thus far and excited for what’s ahead.”
