The Kite Factory has promoted two of its long-standing executives to chief digital officer and chief commercial officer.
Ben Foster, formerly managing partner, digital, has become chief digital officer, while Jonathan Leech, formerly managing partner, commercial, has been named chief commercial officer.
Both of the roles have been newly created.
The promotions follow the appointment of James Smith to chief executive in March. The pair will report to Smith.
Foster has worked at the independent media agency for nine years, joining in 2015 as director of digital operations.
In his new role, Foster will continue to develop The Kite Factory’s digital innovations and programmatic offering, run Kite Studio and the agency’s data proposition. He will also work with current and prospective clients.
Before joining The Kite Factory, Foster worked at All Response Media as head of digital operations and held roles at marketing company LBi (now Digitas).
Leech has worked at The Kite Factory for 10 years, joining in 2014 as TV group head. In his new role, Leech will lead trading across all channels and facilitate the agency’s expanding services.
Before working at The Kite Factory, Leech was a senior buying manager at OMD UK and held roles at Arena Media and Media Campaign.
In addition, as part of the promotions, Gabby Krite has moved from head of digital to head of operations. Krite has been at The Kite Factory for seven years, first joining as a digital planner buyer.
