  1. Purpose

At The Kite Factory, we believe in doing the right thing – for our people, our clients, our community and our planet. This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy sets out our commitment to act ethically and responsibly in everything we do, while using our platform and expertise to create positive change.

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, suppliers, and partners of The Kite Factory. It guides how we operate as a business and how we make decisions that impact our wider

A. People and culture

We are committed to building a workplace where everyone feels welcome, supported, and able to thrive.

We will:

  • Champion diversity, equity and inclusion in our recruitment, culture and leadership.
  • Provide mental health and wellbeing support, including access to resources and trained Mental Health First Aiders.
  • Offer employees paid volunteering leave to support causes they care about.
  • Regularly review our policies to ensure they reflect modern, inclusive practices.

B. Ethical business practice

We hold ourselves to high standards of integrity and transparency, ensuring our work reflects our values.

We will:

  • Maintain honest, open relationships with clients and suppliers.
  • Avoid working with organisations whose activities conflict with our ethical standards (e.g. misinformation, hate speech, environmental harm).
  • Operate transparently, including in how we buy media, manage data, and measure success.
  • Maintain clear policies on conflicts of interest, anti-bribery, and whistleblowing.

C. Community and social impact

We believe in giving back and using our skills to support those who need them most.

We will:

  • Provide pro bono media planning or consultancy for selected charities or social causes.
  • Support a charity of the year through fundraising, awareness and volunteering.
  • Deliver outreach programmes to help young people and underrepresented groups access careers in media.

D. Environmental responsibility

We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and promoting sustainability within our industry.

We will:

  • Measure and work to reduce our carbon footprint across operations, travel and supply chain.
  • Choose suppliers and media partners who align with sustainable practices.
  • Promote digital sustainability by avoiding high-emission media placements.
  • Encourage eco-friendly behaviour among employees, including recycling, energy efficiency and greener commuting options.

E. Industry leadership and collaboration

We aim to play an active role in raising standards across the media and advertising industry.

We will:

  • Participate in industry initiatives that promote ethics, sustainability and inclusion (e.g. Ad Net Zero, Conscious Advertising Network).
  • Share learnings and best practices through whitepapers, events and partnerships.
  • Engage with clients on how we can support their own ESG or sustainability objectives.
  1. Roles and responsibilities

  • The CSR lead (or committee) is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all CSR initiatives.
  • All employees are expected to uphold this policy in their day-to-day work and decision-making.
  • Managers and leadership are accountable for embedding CSR into team objectives and culture.
  1. Monitoring and review

We will:

  • Set annual CSR objectives and KPIs across key areas (e.g. volunteering days, emissions reduction, pro bono hours).
  • Review progress quarterly and report annually to stakeholders.
  • Update this policy every 12–18 months in line with our business priorities and external standards.
