Crisis UK appoints The Kite Factory as UK media agency

2nd February 2022, London: The UK’s national charity for homelessness, Crisis UK, has appointed independent media agency The Kite Factory to develop both its online and offline media planning and buying strategy.

Crisis UK helps thousands of people each year to leave homelessness behind for good through their 11 centres across the UK, and has been helping people since 1967. By working with individuals and providing ongoing one to one support, Crisis UK is able to help people tackle the causes of their homelessness and find long-term solutions to help them out of it for good. Services include help securing long-term accommodation, employment training and help finding work, mental and physical health support and assistance accessing benefits if needs be.

The Kite Factory, which also won Crisis UK’s digital account last July, will deliver a media planning and buying strategy to drive significant growth for Crisis to help meet its goal of ending homelessness. There will be a particular focus on helping the landmark Crisis at Christmas Campaign retain its market leadership in charitable giving during the festive period. The Kite Factory will develop new ways to future proof the programme, expanding the year-round campaign with new tactics to maximise the media effectiveness.

James Smith, Managing Director at The Kite Factory said: “It is a privilege for us to work with Crisis UK, whose life-changing services and campaigning aim to end homelessness in the UK for good. Our integrated approach is perfectly placed to support them in the evolution of a sustainable year-round programme – driving long term growth and engaging the public in new ways to support the incredible work that they do.”

Helen Radia, Head of Individual Supporters at Crisis UK said: “We are very excited to work alongside The Kite Factory to shape our future media plans. They will be a key partner in ensuring that homelessness is a part of the conversation all year round. We know that ending homelessness across the UK is possible and we look forward to working with The Kite Factory to help bring us closer to this once and for all.

The Crisis UK account was awarded to The Kite Factory after a competitive pitch process.
