15th March, London: Independent media agency The Kite Factory has hired WaterAid’s Charley Day to the role of Strategy Director, further strengthening their expertise across the charity sector.
Day, has worked with The Kite Factory for nearly 10 years as their client in her role as Supporter Engagement Lead at WaterAid. Prior to this she spent eight years in the retention team at the NSPCC where she was responsible for fundraising strategy and long term supporter engagement.
She will report into TKF’s newly promoted Head of Planning, Christian Taylor, and work alongside the agency’s Head of Charity, Caroline Dolan, as the team continue to build senior charity client relationships – understanding their world and their business challenges. The hire will also enable The Kite Factory to be even better placed to uncover creative media solutions that deliver results.
James Smith, Managing Director, The Kite Factory, said: “This is a really unique appointment because we have created this role specifically for Charley. Having worked with her as our client for the last 10 years, we know the wisdom and experience she brings, the sharpness of her thinking, and how well she fits with our agency and our culture.
“We have built a really strong offering in Charity under Caroline’s leadership and Charley’s appointment adds to that, bringing a whole new level of credibility and an entirely unique and fresh perspective.”
Charley Day said: “It takes a special group of people to lure me into the agency world, and those people are the team at The Kite Factory. I have loved working with them as a client for the past 10 years and now can’t wait to work with them within this remit to help charities really benefit from the best media team in the business.”
