Transforming Concepts into Animated HTML5 Ads​

Crisis needed to develop high-quality animated HTML5 ads that were lightweight, engaging, and optimised for performance while ensuring sustainability. The campaign required a fast turnaround to meet live dates, all while maintaining creative excellence and staying within Google’s strict 150kb file size limit.

To meet these challenges, we transformed Figma storyboards into Photoshop files without losing resolution, ensuring a seamless transition for animation. We optimised resolution and applied advanced compression techniques to create visually compelling ads that loaded quickly and met all platform requirements.

Additionally, sustainability was a key consideration—we reduced file sizes to as low as 89kb, cutting the carbon impact of serving these ads while improving load times and user experience.

The campaign delivered outstanding results, driving a 19% increase in donations—exceeding the initial target—and an impressive 81% uplift in revenue from donations. ROI reached £1.09, surpassing expectations by 82%. At the same time, optimised file sizes as low as 89kb ensured seamless ad performance while reducing the campaign’s carbon footprint. Crucially, the campaign launched on schedule, maximising both impact and engagement. By combining a meticulous, sustainable, and results-driven approach, we transformed creative concepts into high-performing animated HTML5 ads that captured attention and drove strong conversion rates.
